* SAYS PUNJAB GOVERNMENT TO BEAR EXPENSES ON TREATMENT OF MERITORIOUS SCHOOL STUDENT JAGDEEP SINGH
Ludhiana, September 15:
State Education Minister Dr Daljit Singh Cheema visited two ailing students, Atharv and Jagdeep Singh, at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMCH), here. A student of Senior Secondary Residential School for Meritorious Students, Ludhiana named Jagdeep Singh is undergoing treatment at DMCH Ludhiana for last few days, while another student of DAV School named Atharv is also admitted at DMCH for treatment.
Dr Cheema informed that he has already directed Meritorious School Society Project Director Gen (Retd) KAS Bhullar to make sure that Jagdeep Singh gets the best treatment. He said that the Punjab government would bear all the expenses incurred on the treatment of Jagdeep Singh.
He then visited another student of DAV School named Atharv. On coming to know about the whole incident, Dr Daljit Singh Cheema directed DEO (Secondary) Mrs Paramjit Kaur Chahal to look into the matter and submit him the inquiry report at the earliest.
Education Minister Dr Daljit Singh Cheema also wished speedy recovery for both the students. He asked parents of both the students that the Punjab government would provide all possible help to them.
