APPOINTMENT LETTERS TO ETT TEACHERS
TO HANDED OVER TILL 15 OCTOBER 2016: DR. CHEEMA
• PUNJAB TO APPOINT 400 HEAD MASTERS THROUGH DIRECT RECRUITMENT, ASKS TO INITIATE PROCESS
• WILL PURSUE THE CASE IN COURT TO GET RECRUITMENT OF 800 DPES AND 646 PTIS COMPLETED
• SAYS 70,000 TEACHERS RECRUITED IN PAST 9 YEARS, RECRUITMENT OF 14000 TEACHERS UNDER PROGRESS
CHANDIGARH, SEPTEMBER 28:
Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema today said that Punjab would soon hand over appointment letters to 6050 master cadre teachers and 2005 ETT Teachers by accomplishing the recruitment process before 15 October.
While presiding over the ongoing review meeting, Dr. Cheema issued directions to authorities concerned for completing the recruitment process as early as possible. He said that the appointment letters to 6050 teachers of different subject of master cadre and 2005 ETT teachers would be handed over to them before 15 October. He said that counseling for this purpose was going on from 19 September, which would be concluded by 4 October.
Discussing the issue of recruitment of 800 DPEs and 646 PTIs, which was pending in Hon'ble Court, Dr. Cheema said Department would pursue the case to get the recruitment process completed. He also directed the officers/officials of department to take up the matter with the office of Advocate General of Punjab.
Dr. Cheema also gave instruction to department for initiating the process of direct recruitment of 400 Head Masters. He informed that during past 9 years more than 70000 teachers had been recruited in Punjab while recruitment of 14000 teachers was under progress.

Mehrok, DPI (Elementary Education) Mrs. Pankaj Sharma, Director SCERT Mr. Sukhdev Singh Kahlon and Deputy Directors Mr. Jarnail Singh Kaleka, Dr. Ginni Duggal and Mr. Mewa Singh Sidhu.
